MUSCULOSKELETAL
This route is hands on muscular therapy focusing on tissue texture changes, asymmetries, restriction of motion and tenderness to palpation. Through the use of myofascial, mobilization, and joint play, the goal of musculoskeletal osteopathic treatment is to ensure proper alignment of the spine, proper function of joints and any other musculoskeletal somatic dysfunctions that need to be addressed. A few examples would include but not be limited to: headaches, tendonitis (shoulder, hip, elbow), repetitive strains/sprains to postural strains etc. The goal is to correct the somatic dysfunctions and help facilitate the body to function optimally.
CRANIO-SACRAL
The goal of Cranio-Sacral therapy is to restore cranial dysfunctions through light mobilization of the cranial bones and their relationship to the sacrum through the spine. Craniosacral therapy enhances hydration to the brain, to improve the function of cranial nerves.
